Salem Minerals Inc. was founded in 1986 by Todd Hennis as a small gold mining company in Colorado. We own a number of famous gold mines in Colorado, and part of the proceeds from our product sales are used for historic mining preservation activities. We also engage in environmental remediation work at inactive mine sites, and are active in improving water quality in the Animas River basin through our voluntary efforts. We also have an extensive recycling program to source packing materials for our products, and use environmentally friendly packing materials where possible. We are dedicated to bringing you high quality products that are imaginative, educational, and impart a sense of the wonders of nature and minerals. Innovative design, customer service and a dedicated staff are our hallmarks. Salem Minerals Inc. owns the historic Buckley Brothers General Store in Silver Plume, Colorado directly on Exit 226 of I-70, opposite the Georgetown Loop Steam Railroad.
